When I try to compile a document that is known to be valid, I get: could not start the command pdflatex -synctex1 interactionnonstopmode. the compilation runs across an error, typing s asks LATEX to press on and do the best. I rebooted the server and opened Control panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment variables -> System variables -> Path and checked that the binaries were known by the server: "C:\Program Files\ImageMagick-6.3.3-Q16 C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.5\miktex\bin. I've just installed MiKTeX and then installed TexMaker. to write TeX and LaTeX when you cant use the special symbols. The next step would be to check whether these viewers are installed or not. In my case (openSUSE 10.2, KDE 3.5.7) the viewers are set to xdvi and xpdf. (I chose the binary for Windows: ImageMagick-6.3.3-5-Q16-windows-dll.exe). Check the settings (Options -> Configure TeXmaker) for the affected viewers. (I chose GPL Ghostscript 8.56. I also installed GSview 4.8 but I'm not sure if I need this).
(I picked up version 2.5 basic and the program installed itself in "C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.5"). No doubt you benefit from the better quality of the images rather than using the mimetex filter.Īfter searching this forum for help and playing around with the database and sql statements I finally just hacked the tex filter to get it to work. It might also be helpful to create a shortcut in your thumbdrive’s root.
Texmaker error could not start the command gsviewer portable#
When you’re done, you should have two subdirectories on your USB drive, one each for MiKTeX Portable and Texmaker USB. Texmaker USB extract directly onto the root of your thumbdrive. Spaces after these control symbols are not consumed. LaTeX 2.09 has been obsolete for many years now and we cannot help you with any. Make sure to specify a new directory for the files, for example: D:/MiKTeX. prints a (which cannot be entered directly because LATEX uses it to begin math mode).
